Terms of use
The terms on which CCB & Co. offers the site at ccbync.com. Last updated September 24, 2026.
What the site is for
ccbync.com describes the letterpress work of CCB & Co., a print shop in Asheville, North Carolina, and gives you a way to ask for a proof. It is an information site and a form. There is no shop cart, no online payment and no account to create. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.
A form submission is an inquiry
Sending the proof request form, or writing to [email protected], asks us a question. It is not an order, and it does not create a contract, a booking or a place in the press schedule. A job exists only when we have replied, a proof has been pulled and posted, you have approved it in writing, and we have confirmed the run. Until that point either of us may walk away without obligation. Anything on the site about lead times, smallest runs or what we will and will not print describes how the shop usually works and is not a promise about a particular job; the reply to your message is where a particular job is settled.
Acceptable use
You may read the site, link to it and use the form for its purpose. You may not use the form to send unsolicited advertising, to test automated tools, or to send anything unlawful, abusive or deceptive. You may not try to interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it at a rate that burdens the host, or pass yourself off as CCB & Co. We may block traffic that does any of that.
Artwork you send us
Any artwork you send for printing stays yours. You confirm that you have the right to have it printed, and that printing it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We will not knowingly print a mark that plainly belongs to a third party, and if we are unsure we will ask. We use your artwork only to make the plate and print the job, and we do not show it publicly without asking you first.
Our material
The words, layout and design of this site, and the marks and names of CCB & Co., belong to CCB & Co. and may not be reused without permission beyond what is needed to view the site or quote it fairly. The photographs on the site are credited below and are used under the terms their makers set.
Accuracy
We try to keep the site accurate, and we correct it when we learn something is wrong. Even so, the site is offered as it stands, without a warranty of any kind, and details such as which house inks are on the shelf or how long a run takes can change between visits. The reply to your message is the current answer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CCB & Co. is not liable for any loss arising from using the site or relying on what it says, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability in respect of a particular printing job is governed by the terms agreed for that job, not by this page.
Links from the site
The site links nowhere except its own pages, the shop mailbox and the type service that supplies its fonts. If that changes, a linked site is not ours and these terms do not cover it.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about the site, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, and the courts of North Carolina have jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use the site from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms by publishing a new version here with a new date. Using the site after a change means you accept the changed terms. The privacy page is separate and is found at privacy.html.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to [email protected], which is read on press days.
